The Law Firm's Practice and Background
Bushnell, Caplan & Fielding, LLP has been in practice
in San Francisco since 1971. During this time, our firm has engaged
in extensive civil and criminal litigation, both at the trial and
appellate levels. We have tried in excess of 100 cases, mostly in
the Bay Area, and have been the law firm of record in over 75 published

The firm's practice currently focuses on representing plaintiffs
in cases involving
labor
and employment law (with an emphasis on wrongful discharge,
civil rights and sexual harassment),
personal
injury law; and
consumer
protection (consumer fraud and consumer class actions). Individual
partners also have experience in providing mediation services,
criminal
defense, and employer consulting and litigation defense.
Bushnell, Caplan & Fielding, LLP has been lead counsel
or co-lead counsel in litigation involving shareholder derivative
actions, consumer class actions, unfair competition and false advertising
cases, employment rights
class actions, labor and employment cases and environmental lawsuits
brought on behalf of the general public. These cases are in addition
to representing innumerable civil plaintiffs and criminal defendants
through the years.
The firm has represented a number of public-interest non-profit
organizations in litigation, including: The Natural Resources Defense
Council, The Environmental Law Foundation, Fort Mason Foundation,
Sweatshop Watch, The Asian Law Caucus, Global Exchange, Bay Area
Video Coalition, Bluewater Network and Bread & Roses.
